We started the signature guideline sticky as a temporary measure to try and get people here to shorten their signatures and de-clutter the board. This has been a "guideline" rather than a hard and fast "rule." Many people have shortened their signatures, and I think the board is a little easier to read. I have PMd some members with long signatures, and they are working on it. Is it time to "unsticky" the signature guideline? Do you think it has served its purpose or is more time needed? We don't like to have too many stickies because they get ignored and we want to save most of the 1st page space for current topics.

Thanks for your input!

Judiaci, I love your signature pic!! I like when the pics are big so you can really see them. Almost makes the dolls come to life.

Thanks, Ashley's Mommy. I think Kailey and Chloe look a lot alike. They could really be sisters.

It's up to the mods, of course, but I would hate to see all the minimaizing start to get big again!
Just my opinion, since you asked.

I don't think it needs to come down just yet, especially since we have been getting a lot of new members lately. Five stickies isn't too many, in my opinion. I think it has done A LOT of good so far, and the HB looks SO much better to me! Thanks!

Thanks for your input. OK, I will leave it up there for awhile as long as we think it is still useful.

Cami - feel free to start the thread yourself about netspeak and spell check.

Joy was having a computer problem and was out of town taking her son back and forth to college. That is probably why she didn't change her signature yet.

If we are talking about being nitpicky with spelling, which I must admit I do sometimes struggle with, we should also request that people should PLEASE use proper sentance structure! I don't even bother reading posts that have words running on and on, whith an occasional period thrown in, and no capitlization.

Ironically, I know we have nonusa people on here, such as Brazilian girl - not trying to point anyone out - but her posts have exceptionally good grammer and are clear. It seems that its our fellow Americans that have such POOR writing skills. So any rules like that wouldn't be picking on international fans.

But it just seems to me that if we are going to get nitpicky about spelling, writing over all should be addressed. Beacsue a misplelt word can be looked around, but the entire posts being unreadable seems important as well.

My thoughts at any rate.

There is a "Check Spelling" link to the left of the box where you write your post. It is blue.

It is definitely easier to read posts that have good grammar and spelling. Please try your best and thanks for your help with this issue.
